Puppy Socialisation & Training (to book a place click here):

This course provides socialisation and training in a safe, fun environment for puppies under twenty weeks of age.  Getting things right in the first few months is vital if you want your puppy to grow into a well behaved, well adjusted adult.  Below are some frequently asked questions about our puppy course:

What can I expect from the puppy course?

  • Small class sizes with lots of individual attention

  • Carefully supervised and controlled off lead play sessions where puppies learn appropriate social skills - puppy parties which allow large numbers of puppies to play unsupervised result in over excited puppies who learn to behaviour inappropriately with other dogs

  • Lots of reward-based, basic training - including sit, down, recall, walking nicely on a lead, leave etc

  • The opportunity to teach your puppy some all important manners - such as how to greet people without jumping up, how to wait patiently for food etc

  • Plenty of advice on all the important puppy issues - like chewing, biting, house training etc

  • The opportunity to meet other puppy owners and share experiences

  • Lots of fun

Who can come?

All members of the family, especially children, are welcome to attend and take part in your puppy's training

When can my puppy attend?

Puppies can attend as soon as they have completed their vaccinations (please note that some vets are happy for puppies to attend one week after their first vaccination, but you must check this with your own vet first).  All puppies must be under twenty weeks old when the course starts.

My puppy has already attended a puppy party should we go straight to the beginners class?

No, our puppy course is much more than a puppy party, we cover a comprehensive range of training and life skills in addition to learning social skills.  If your puppy is less than twenty weeks old it will be much more beneficial to attend a puppy course where everything is tailored to the learning abilities of a young puppy.

How much does the course cost?

The six week course costs £90 and this includes a comprehensive puppy manual, weekly email training summaries and a clicker.
